So, when you are in a rush and yet your mind is
totally free, you can totally come up with the below mentioned analogies
between catching a train and this weirdness called life (no, I’m not crazy. My
mother had me tested :p )
You know how much time
you have in your hands and how much luggage you have, or how much energy you
have. You have to decide whether you can, and more importantly, whether you
want to take a direct auto or brave the metro and still make it.
|
In all analogous bigger
situations of life, your loved ones, quintessentially, will advise you to
take the easier way, because well, they love you. However, you have to take
the call, because you are the one who has to live with the consequences. All
said and done, when you show strength (not to mention also save money) and do
make it, you get to relish that sweet victory!
|
If you have two bags
which you have to carry across 16 platforms, and you see someone struggling
with their luggage, someone whom you would like to help, you can do the same
if one of these scenarios apply; a) You leave your own bags and carry theirs
b) You are rich enough to hire a coolie for them
|
Take your own luggage to
be your set of responsibilities in this life. If you want to
make this world a better place and help someone, either you need to have a
very small set of personal responsibilities, so as to help someone else with
theirs, or you need to be rich enough. If you leave your own bags and help
carry someone else's, would it be being true to your own set of bags?

After everything said and
done, if you get a bad seat which you really do not want, that's just that.
You can't do anything about it. Take that seat and think about how it might
actually be good for you or the umpteen ways in which you can churn up
acceptance.
|
A certain percentage is
always out of your control. Call it destiny, if you may, or whatever you are
more comfortable with. But yes, a certain part is always out of your control,
and you do have to accept it. There's no other option, actually.
|
P.S. I’m so jealous of all the people who know
what they want to do with their lives, and even more so of those who simply don’t
think about stuff like this. PHEW :|
