Showers of Blessings:)

Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need;
Mercy-drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.

Reminds me absurdly of an exercise a Sister made us do in 6th grade in a free period.
She told us to close our eyes, and we thought its going to be a prayer session, but she asked us to place one hand forward, open in the asking position, and the other in the blessing one...the logic was that we are asking for blessings, and sharing them simultaneously...isn't it true, we ask for so much, yet we are so stingy when it comes to giving anything, even blessings...?
