Love/Logic...
On this day, God wants you to know
... that love is the opposite of logic. Logic is argumentative, aggressive upon the mind, splits the world into right and wrong, us and them. Love is generative, compassionate, embracing all creation. Logic pays attention to what is being said. Love pays attention to how things are said. Logic leads to debate. Love leads to communion. Practice love to be closer to God.
An awesome message from God...though am sure different people will have different views about it..."love vs. logic"...
Don't they always make us move in opposite directions? Like, for instance, love would tell us to care about a sick friend one night before exam, whereas logic would tell us to go and study (an example i read in some novel lately).
Another idea, love may be done by logic...but then i think, that wouldn't be called love...love is what cannot be explained...what cannot be justified...
Whose whole reason for being there is justified by its existence only...

We cannot live life by logics only...thats not how things were designed, in my opinion...
Its somewhat a choice, neither are our minds capable enough to find the logics behind everything, nor our hearts mature enough to leave the logistics completely and love selflessly...
The cake is not pure chocolaty either ways (yes i know its a funny metaphor:p), so its dekha jaaye toh on us so as to which one we want to pick up and eat...

Love vs logic. I, for one, have never thought logically when it comes to love!! {though I don't think I have ever thought logically :p}.
ReplyDeleteBut then, both of them are different. Logic itself gets associated with whatever we do, for instance, your example only- helping a sick friend is a logic in itself because that is what is required at that time. But preparing for exam is another logical thing to do at that time.
