Who Does Not Struggle – II

I had babbled the first piece during my internship in Delhi.

A man is given a target to issue credit cards by his bank employees.
He stands outside a corporate office for the whole day, requesting people to get a credit card made.
He also has to answer politely when people come to ask him how to get their credit card cancelled.
Who Does Not Struggle?

Empathy they say we need in the world, but sympathy is all that moves people these days.
Have we forgotten how to get in someone else’s shoes, because we feel too secure in ours?

Look close enough, do not be harsh and crude.

Everyone is fighting a battle, some shouting, some on mute.

Someone does it the apparent headfirst manner, someone does it with denial and escapism.

But in all the scenarios, everyone struggles, wherever they are.

And then people get in the mode of that self pity, and run faster and faster in the clichéd rat race.

But, who wants to die a rat?

Why do they say that clear hearted people have no place in this world?

That you have to be smart and fast to get through life?

Why do I see the good hearted people in pain somewhere, all around me?

Is it a choice to be the way they are, naive and gullible, or it is the only option?

Would they change the way things are, if they could?

Is it feasible, genuinely making someone smile when you are yourself sad?

Where do you draw the line, between what is good and what is not?

The Bible says that the meek shall inherit the earth, would it now rot?

P.S. Children these days remind me of a quote I read somewhere:

We used to say as innocent as a child, what do we say now?

Probably because the parents make it sink in that they have to battle it out in the world.

In the picture is Chandni, she lives in Nainital and is one of the sweetest kids I have come across :)

Probably because her father, the cook bhaiya in my PG is one of the most clear hearted and sweet people out there. :)

P.P.S. I have totally lost the ability of spinning thoughts into words. So this place is going to be bombarded with too many loose fragments in the coming future.

Too busy becoming a rat, maybe?

  2. Every one in this world struggles but everyone can raise up from all these struggles and look life with a new perspective. I would like to share the following lines by Dam Millman and would like people to realize that LOVE is the only REALITY of the LIFE.
“There is no need to search; achievement leads to nowhere. It makes no difference at all, so just be happy now! Love is the only reality of the world, because it is all One, you see. And the only laws are paradox, humor and change. There is no problem, never was, and never will be. Release your struggle, let go of your mind, throw away your concerns, and relax into the world. No need to resist life, just do your best. Open your eyes and see that you are far more than you imagine. You are the world, you are the universe; you are yourself and everyone else, too! It's all the marvelous Play of God. Wake up, regain your humor. Don't worry, just be happy. You are already free!”
